New IEEE Standard - Active. A structure of low-altitude airspace for efficient unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) traffic management is defined in this standard. The standard elaborates the structural low altitude based on UAV low-altitude public air routes from five parts: grid technology, remote sensing data, communication and networking, route planning, operation, and management.
This standard defines a structure for low-altitude airspace for efficient unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) traffic management. It defines UAV capabilities and related infrastructure for UAVs to operate in low-altitude air space.
This standard recognizes, but does not intend to restate or replace, applicable laws and regulations related to low-altitude airspace, UAV operations, and air traffic management. Users of this standard are responsible for referring to and observing all such laws and regulations. Compliance with the provisions of this standard does not imply compliance with any such legal or regulatory requirements. The standard aims to form a low-altitude airspace structure in the form of low-altitude public air routes of UAVs, and elaborates on gridding technology, remote sensing, communication and networking technology, air route planning, operation, and management.
