New IEEE Standard - Inactive-Withdrawn.
Graphical user interface (GUI) applications and user interfaces to open systems are covered. This standard defines the application interface to a group of widgets built upon the X Window System X Toolkit Intrinsics.
This standard defines a standard application programming interface (API) to and a standard appearance and behavior of an X Window System toolkit graphical user interface (Gill) environment based on the OSF/Motij Style Guide {B5} and the Application Environment Specification User Environment Volume {B4}. The standard serves to support application portability at the source-code level and is intended to be used by both application developers and toolkit implementors.
The purpose of this standard is to define a source-code level interface to an X Window System) toolkit Graphical User Interface (OUI) environment based on the Motif) Application Environment Specification User Environment Volume {B4} and OSF/Motif Style Guide {B5}. This environment includes a C-Language application program interface (API) and a specification of appearance and behavior of visual objects consistent with the OUI Drivability recommended practice being developed by IEEE P1201.2 {B3}
