New IEEE Standard - Superseded. Formal models for information used in system diagnosis are defined. As part of the AI-ESTATE set of standards, this standard includes several models that form the basis for a format to facilitate exchange of persistent diagnostic information between two reasoners, and also provides a formal typing system for the services defined in the AI-ESTATE service specification.
The scope of this component standard is to define the form of the data and knowledge needed to support AI-ESTATE.
The purpose of this component standard is to provide the formal specifications of the data and knowledge necessary to perform system test and diagnosis, and to insure the portability of data and knowledge between AI-ESTATE compliant systems.
