This standard is divided into five clauses. Clause 1 provides the scope of this standard. Clause 2 provides a set of definitions that are defined more fully in the standard, but are provided here as a quick reference. Clause 3 states the purpose of software quality metrics. Clause 4 provides a framework for software quality metrics. Clause 5 provides a methodology for software quality metrics, which is mandatory when applying this standard.
