1.1 This test method covers a laboratory procedure for determining compression-recovery characteristics of tape sealant.

4.1 Tape sealants are tacky, deformable solids used between two or more surfaces of similar or dissimilar materials in a variety of sealing applications. This procedure presents an indication of the compression recovery characteristics of preformed tapes.
