1.1 This specification covers selected aluminum, aluminum-alloy and aluminum clad steel cable shielding stock, both uncoated and coated, for applications such as electrostatic or electromagnetic shielding for insulated power, control, instrumentation and communication cables (including coaxial cable).

1.2 The materials covered are the following:

1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.
